Unexpected Arrival.

I have two cats, Fahrenheit and Celsius. Here they are:
Celsius
Fahrenheit

Now, they're about...8-9 months old now, and haven't been fixed yet. YES I KNOW, they should have been done by now but as they're indoor cats and I've been trying to find an appropriate time to actually be driven to the vets, I haven't been able to have it done yet. Not that I thought it would be a problem, since we don't have a tom cat in our family, and as I mentioned earlier, they've never been outside.

Fahren did go into a heat cycle a few months back, but none of us thought anything of it. We did think that she was having a phantom pregnancy the last week or so, since she suddenly started acting pregnant but as far as we knew, she hadn't bred with anyone. (my mother was joking around that she was having my dog's secret love child, since he's gotten into a rather strange...humping the cat habit...lately). She hadn't displayed any other pregnancy symptoms or even looked remotely pregnant until the past week.

Now last night, she was acting strangely again, which we didn't think anything of. Making weird faces and sleeping in the buffet cupboard. We just left her there for the night.

And then I get woken up at 6 am to a panicked mother because both cats are eating at their food bowl and there are strange squeaking noises coming from the cupboard. I come out, open the door, and lo and behold:

And thus, the Chat of Liddell did Ooh and Aah over Kelvin the Great
Surprised? Yes we were. Fortunately she seems to be handling being a mother well and hopefully the kitten, named Kelvin by Detonating Ducklings, NotSoVertical, AuNatural_AL and Now THAT'S A Trot and others survives.

Hrmm...

I have absolutely nothing enlightening to say besides that I'm hungry. So I shall leave you with this to better explain exactly how hungry I am.

What happens when I watch old Who eps...

I do believe that my boyfriend knows me far too well.

Minus the pink bow, and I think that's pretty accurate.

So, after rewriting a first blog several times, I just settled on going along the lines of an ‘about me’ post. Not that I do anything particularly interesting, but, you know. So, I'll write, say, 10 fun (or not so fun) facts about me.

I'm serious.

  1. I live in Australia, the land of crocs, drop bears and snake eating spiders.

  2. I play World of Warcraft. Gundrak server, if you’re wondering. Alliance, also. No other way to play it.

  3. I like to roleplay. No, not the kinky stuff, get your brain out of the gutter. Online, pretty much any genre, I’m also a bit of a character whore, I just can’t help myself. If you’re ever interested, you can find me lurking around these places: Crossfire Farms, See You At The Show & Grimspire.

  4. George R R Martin is my favourite author because he breaks all the rules.

  5. I like to give my animals odd names. Take Fargo, Celsius and Fahrenheit, for instance. I bet they’re all cursing me now.

  6. I am the eldest of six children (being 20 years old myself). Yes, six. I like to think I have the patience of a saint.

  7. I have a dA account: sugawinkle. Nothing special but I love it all the same.

  8. I was raised Catholic, went to good Catholic schools growing up, but am now atheist. And before you ask, no, I don’t have major problems against religion, I just prefer to see things my own way. The only issue I will have is if you try to shove it down my throat, k?

  9. DOCTOR WHOOOOOOOOO. ‘nuff said.

  10. Detonating Ducklings is my partner in rp crime. NotSoVertical is my twin...besides the part where she lives halfway across the globe. Three Musketeers? Nah, I think the Three Stooges would suit us better.
So, there we have, 10 things about me. For a first blog entry, I believe that's rather alright.
